![]() ![]() I could always copy/paste attributes from the original, and it would be fixed, but it drove me crazy why it was doing that. but started noticing, that if I scaled some shots from a wide into a CU (80% or something) if I duplicated it, or copied down later in the timeline, it would reset back to 50% and I'd loose my settings or keyframes. I set it to "Set to frame size" as I brought all the clips in, so I could just start editing without having to resize each clip each time. I had these problems when I was editing a 4k short in a 1080p sequence, so I could reframe my source shots as needed. Copying a 4k clip with a scale 60% in a 1080p sequence at "Set to frame size" would turn it into a 120% scale in a sequence with "Scale to frame size" - so I think it just doesn't do any of that and resets the motion attributes to 100%. If memory serves, this is another NONO when copy/pasting within the sequence as it would really mess with your settings. In the 4k example, it fills the frame, but down-samples it, so when you look in the motion tab, it will now say 100% instead of 50%. ![]() I think this is an option to help system performance, though I haven't seen a difference). but it rasterizes the image (which means you actually loose quality if you upscale past 100%. Scale to frame size - this one looks like "set" to frame size. I think when this is set this way, whenever you copy/paste a clip within the sequence, it re-scales it to fill the frame regardless of if you had different settings applied to it. My previous example would bring the 4k shot in automatically at 50%. Set to frame size - this will resize the source to fit full frame into the sequence and the scaling will reflect that action. The copied pose is applied on a per-name basis (i.e. I believe this is the setting you want when copy/pasting in the sequence because it doesn't try to overwrite the source settings in any way when you paste it. During pasting, on the other hand, bone selection has no importance. ![]() You would need to drop this down to 50% to downscale it into the sequence and fill the frame. if you are editing in a 1080p sequence and bring in a 4k shot, the shot will be much larger then the 1080 frame and the scale will be at 100%. None - copies and pastes without any motion attributes, and if you bring any clip into the sequence it put's it at it's previous scale or defaults at 100%, regardless of the source or sequence size settings. But try changing it and see if the problem persists. Off the top of my head I can't remember which one it should be set to, I think it should be Set to none. You can access the settings under Preferences / Media, and there should be a drop box about 5 lines down that says "Default Media Scaling" you can change the options in the drop box. (None, Scale to frame size, or Set to frame size) I had this problem, it has to do with whether you global "Default Media Scaling" settings are set to ![]()
